Jerry has used several accounting systems including QuickBooks software for the last 10 years. He is now a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor for 2007, 2008, 2009 versions, is a member of the Association of Independent Professional Bookkeepers, and consults with firms up to 50 employees.
His most recent employment was an accountant with a medical startup company funded by venture capiital. Within 2 years it grew to 55 employees worldwide in the USA, India, China, and Europe. To meet their accounting requirements Jerry implemented QuickBooks when they first started, and made changes to handle the rapid growth of the firm. That involved creating unique chart of account, multiple currencies, product and services, managing cash flow, and profitability reports. When they outgrew QuickBooks he upgraded them to a midlevel Navision accounting solution from Microsoft.
Jerry's career over the last 40 plus years has been in his hometown of St. Paul, MN. With a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, he has been in a multitude of industries including food, retail, direct mail, communications, transportation, computers, market research, photography, construction, and medical. In those industries Jerry has held various positions including accountant, computer consultant, communicastions analyst, sales manager, director of sales and marketing, and vice president.
